Love Is The Principal Thing

DAILY VITAMIN
If the gifts God gives men are for them to profit with, then what do you think is the principal source of all things that God could ever profit with? Paul shows us the way to God's heart. The way to birth the multiplication of His likeness as written in Genesis 1:26-28. He wrote that while faith is great and hope is good, there's nothing more of a necessity than love (1 Cor 13:2). Faith may move mountains, but love moves the hearts of men. Faith reveals our expression as those who trust God, but love reveals our expression as those who are gods- like God. God expects us to live in love if we must grow in the Lord. And what is love? Love is more than just the affection that compels us to want to share and be shared. It is more than just the emotion that gives the most. Love is patient- it's willing to wait as far as it leads to someone's safety, bodily and in spirit. Love is kind- it's willing to suffer the pain of others and to enjoy their laughter as well. Love is not envious- it is joyed by the joy of others. Love is not proud- it takes a man's image as far as it saves that man. Love is forgiving- as on the cross it is more concerned about how well we fare than how bad he's fed. Love never fails- it can be counted on at all times. But most importantly, love is a reflection of the God within us. As a result, a simple act in deeds and words can do all God wills to do in the life of a man. Plus if we are His body, then we are His heart as well- and as such, the instruments of His revelation of love through Christ. But guess what? It's more than just a nature being now Christians, it's a duty "Love one another as I have loved you"(John 15:12), one we are bound by His salvation to abide in. And how do we do this? We go about just like Jesus did meeting people's every need as we're capable of, casting away no one that comes to us for help, but most importantly we go about and tell of the so great a love God has prepared for all those who would lose themselves to gain Him by simply receiving them into their lives. 'No greater love than when a man lays down his life' (John 15:13), and God already did that; now it's our turn, by going against our selfish reasons to bring people into the same marvellous benefits God has bestowed upon us. If love is to share and be shared, then how can you say you love when you can't share. Today, decide to share God with someone out there, and to share yourself back to Him. I've chosen to do that, i hope you do the same too.
