In any field whatsoever you ply your trade, the greatest good you can do yourself is self improvement. Nothing visibly assures you of a better future than self development. Unless we meet up with the standards we set for ourselves by the position we aim for in life, our lack of character and skill will eventually catch up with our supposed public success, and thwart all we'd worked for. You can make your reputation unassailable by taking efforts to improve yourself unto expertise in whatever you do- be it writing, singing, acting, building, administration, or even any pure scientific practice. All you have to do is do all you have to do to better yourself today so that the laurels that await tomorrow won't find you eludable. Prepare yourself for the glory that comes tomorrow by preparing to work harder and better today. To maintain your independence you must consistently be needed and wanted. The more the outcome of situations depend on you, the more you win; and believe me you do this primarily by taking that step to improve yourself. As long as you're sure that the vision you have is to be your hub of fulfilfment, concentrate all your energies on developing the skill needed to achieve and master it. Intensity defeats extensity all the time; so rather than trying to do everything like Jack, make the most effort in improving yourself for the future you have envisioned for yourself. Focus is what you need here: therefore focus all your skill set- and the need for improvement- on the 'fat cow' you have ascertained to be able to continually keep giving you the 'milk' of success for a long time to come. I urge you today to embrace dexterity in all you choose to do professionally in life. The success we seek can only be entered by those who walk in the shoes of expertise. Hence, this is my pledge to keep learning in order to improve myself every day till the last day i live; i hope you can do the same, because improvement, my friend, is the only way we are going to get approved for the future success we anticipate.
