Ever Reliable

One of the most beautiful attributes of God is that, unlike men, He is ever reliable. God doesn't promise to help and then fail to. More so, He doesn't see a man in need of help, and just pass by. Before any man can claim the role of the 'good Samaritan', God has always been the Good Lord. Jesus, speaking to the wearied band of persons that listened to His sermon, said "I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now continued with Me three days" (Mk 8:2). He was concerned about them so much that He couldn't send them back empty. In the same way, God never sends us back as empty as we came when we come with all of our heart (see Jer 29:13). He ensures that we are filled to the brim with His goodness. God doesn't leave us the same way we come to Him, He makes us better. The Bible says that He is the sort of High Priest who feels exactly how we feel, and provides a means for us to obtain grace to help in time of need (see Heb 4:15-16). The Psalmist-on the same subject- wrote "And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for you, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You. For the needy shall not always be forgotten; the expectation of the poor shall not perish forever" (Ps 9:10,18). Thus, I want you to know that it's doesn't matter if you can't get some of your needs met today, because all of those needs must and will be met. Your expectation won't remain an expectation forever, it will soon become a reality. Hence, trust in the Lord with all your heart; lean on Him, and He will never ever fail you. He will always be on time to wipe your tears away- for He is the LORD who has compassion on us all. So, get excited!

DAILY VITAMIN  There is a difference between giving and giving generously. Generosity is more than just how much you give, but how hearted you do. What makes the poor fellow rich in the sight of God is how richly he gives even though in need himself. Richly, not in terms of quantity or even quality, nor quantifiable mass, but richly based on how much from the heart it is given. Was the heart rich in compassion, God's love and mercy as it gave? Or was it full of egotism, self-pride and every trait that makes him believe it is all in his power? DAILY VITAMIN Decisions made out of anger or envy are not only self destructive, but they also affect the attitude of those we seem not to desire their hurt. For instance, when the sons of Jacob conspired to kill Joseph, to them it was the perfect way to get rid of the 'big dreamer' that made them all look like vision-less fellows, and had taken their father's affection from them; so they took it upon themselves and agreed that they were totally correct in their intended evil action. In everything you do always remember that love comes before ambition. Most times we get so carried away in climbing the ladder of success that we fail to recognize and notice when there are hands stretching high for us to help lift them up.   DAILY VITAMIN - Actions Speak Loudest “Don’t hide your light! Let it shine for all; let your good deeds glow for all to see, so that they will praise your heavenly Father.” (Matthew 5:16 TLB) It was 4:30 p.m., sometime in late January 2015. The students were crowded en masse for Laboratory Practice registrations. Everybody was there; the sleek guys and girls, and the geeks as well. And also there was myself, and my very good friend Earnest. We were both members of the Christian Community on campus; but Earnest was the more vocal kind. Well, on this day, the hall was replete with students and the process slow, but eventually it got to our turn. The Registration Officer (R.O) requested for the required fee and documentation and thus signed me up; however when it was Earnest’s time to get registered, he failed to ask for the fee.
