Embrace Contentment Even As You Strive For More

DAILY VITAMIN
- EMBRACE CONTENTMENT EVEN AS YOU STRIVE FOR MORE
Is it possible to be ambitious and content at the same time? I will say, Yes it is. God doesn't want us to remain stagnant in one place forever, but He also wants us to walk in par with where He leads. Paul said I have learnt to be content, and both how to be above and abased (Phil 4:11-12). What this means is that he knew that he was made to achieve more in life, but he 's never going to complain when God gives him the red light at any given time. To successfully walk with God, we have to learn how to move when He wants us to, and to stop when He wants us to. Many of us however find it hard to oblige to this culture because we are more bent on impressing people than we are on obeying God. I have seen a lot of people jump into what they weren't meant to all because they couldn't stand someone else getting there before them. You know, it's funny how we get angry and envious whenever someone gets a car before us, or a promotion, but we never do when they die before us. You know, it's funny how we want everything first all the time, but when it comes to bad things we want the other guy to go first. But i say no more. Everyone has a unique destiny; so you can't judge how your life would turn out by how someone else's did. Only God can. David said 'All the days of my life are written in your book, lead me to live as you ordained me to' (see Psalm 139:16-24). So, never try to rush God because every other person is moving; wait for Him, He might just be fixing your flat tyre so that you don't have a bumpy ride in life. Waiting is not the easiest thing to do; but if you've ever been ten seconds behind an assault that occurred, you'd know it's beneficial. Hence, don't let others lead your life, let God. If you're faithful with where He's stopped you, He'd be faithful to lit up the green light for you to enter your next level in life. So, i know you have a lot of aspirations ; i do too, but please take it with God one step at a time. Don't try to rush Him; don't try to move ahead of Him, let others keep moving; when He hits gear, He would get you where you have to be on time and in perfectly good shape. Thus, be ambitious if you want, but please also learn to be content with where God has you per time. In time, your story will prove you are making the right choice.
