You Are Richly Secured In Christ

DAILY VITAMIN
- You Are Richly Secured In Christ
The Bible tells us that the path of the just shines brighter unto the perfect day(Pro 4:18). The word just used is synonymous to the word righteous, which we are in Christ. And we know the Word of God cannot lie; for His promises are yes and amen(2 Cor 1:24).
It is a hard thing for me to understand that some folks still don't believe that God exists. How can such a Lord who preempts time and all forms of history be placed away from the equation? In fact, His existence-and yes sovereignty-is the reason why we have hope and unabated confidence that all things are working for our good. And except we live in this consciousness, receiving such goodwill may be impossible; "for they that come to Him must believe that He exists and is a rewarder.."(Heb 11:6).
Let's look at how David lived: he said "The Lord is the portion of my inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. [For this reason] The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage."(Ps 16:5-6).
You see, Paul didn't refer to Christ as 'our' hope of Glory because He is not only the believer's; He is everybody's hope. He says Christ the hope of glory. Therefore, with this, why remain with the benign belief system that your life may not turn out fine. He says because He lives, you shall live also. The word 'lives' here is analogous to glorified. So, because He lives in glory, you can be sure of having the same both here and there in Him. This is very much possible because He has in providence already all you'd ever need to have a fulfilling life. In Ezra 7:20-21, we see the story of a man who knew no one get the limitless favor of the king to have all he required delivered to him on time and in the exact quantity he desires it. You see, you're not different from Ezra; in fact you're more, having the Spirit in you without measure.
Hence, go out everyday with a cheer whether there's a recession or not. Live life intentionally, and full of unreserved hope. And if people ask you how you can be so unmoved in such a crisis, tell them that in Christ you have beyond insurance, but more an assurance for betterment. Tell them that no matter how crisscrossed the situation is, Christ in you is enough hope for glory. I believe that when Habakkuk wrote that even though the fig tree bears no fruit, yet will I rejoice in the Lord (3:17-18), he said so not because he feared the circumstance, but because he was sure that he had that and more in God. And as a covenant child, you have much more (Acts 3:25).
In Christ, There is an eternal hope that assures us that we are more than conquerors...persons with nothing more than a victory to possess. This is God's way of calling back the sinners and awakening the saints- the promise of a better forever.
