The power of applied knowledge

DAILY VITAMIN
- The Power Of Applied Knowledge
Having something without applying it brings little or no profit to us or any other person; and the same goes for every single thing including simple things like knowledge. Knowing what to do without doing it won't do you any good, and that's why the power of a thing is not in having it, but in applying it. And today i want us to focus on the power of applied knowledge, and to ascertain the big difference between knowing and applying what you know. As we all know, wisdom is knowledge in application. Little wonder so many benefits are attributed to it; but first let's look at what scripture says of the exploits of its application: "Through wisdom is an house built; and by understanding it is established; and by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious
and pleasant riches" (Pro 24:3-4). You'd notice that the beginning of the achievements mentioned there didn't begin with just knowledge, but wisdom, which as seen is the application of the known and the unknown. In simple words, here's the sequence. By applying whaat you've received, you achieve something. By keeping to the principles of that knowledge, you sustain it [This is the Understanding part]. By learning more, you keep your achievement increasing. Never does knowing make any difference if what is known is never used. For instance, even if you have an encyclopaedia of what makes your friend happy, if you never engage in any of them, you will never help him/her reach that level of happiness. So it is not just about knowing; Knowing gets you the treasure chest, applying what you've known unleashes the treasures within. Here's another analogy to explain this: Knowing how to apply for a job doesn't get you a job, applying does. Thus, this is my advice to you; Study hard to acquire every available knowledge necessary for you attain expertise and destiny, but more than anything, show yourself approved by applying all you know. If you're going to change your world, you're going to have to make an equivalence of applying all you know. After Solomon received unlimited wisdom and understanding of all knowledge from God, to expound it God gave him a platform for application. So if Solomon was established and announced by applying what he'd received, we are not exceptions. In conclusion, we have a promise when we have and apply knowledge, which states "So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward and thy expectation shall not be cut off" (Pro 24:14). Hence, never stop at knowing, keep striving until what you know is applied, and all you've applied brings complementary dividends.
