It All Began On Christmas

DAILY VITAMIN - It All Began On Christmas "...You say that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Every one that is of the truth hears my voice." (John 18:37) The day Christ came into the world holds a remarkable significance. It marked the day our redemption began in real time; because if He hadn't been born, He would never have died nor resurrected. Every minute Jesus spent here, every breath He breathed here was to fulfill one singular purpose - to reveal the truth. What truth? The truth that we are precious in God's eyes, and that He would give anything to see us ransomed. And on that day, it became real. He sent us Christ to save us for good. And that's a good enough reason to celebrate. At His birth, our joy knew no bounds (Matthew 2:10), and even now it still does.                 You see, that's what gives Christmas its essence. Not the presents or the beautiful

Becoming A Beacon

DAILY VITAMIN - Becoming A Beacon “While Zechariah was alive Uzziah was always eager to please God. Zechariah was a man who had special revelations from God. And as long as the king followed the paths of God, he prospered, for God blessed him.” (2 Chronicles 26:5 TLB) The scripture above tells us that as long as Zechariah was alive, Uzziah had a mind to please God always. In other words, Zechariah was a positive influence on him; a great role model that kept him in the light of the faith amidst the darkness that covered the rest. And that’s exactly what Christ said we would be. He said we are the salt in our world, without which many would lose their taste. And they would do so, because like an anchor we help them stay strong in the LORD. That was what Zechariah was to Uzziah- an anchor; he kept him in the light of the LORD for as long as he lived through guidance. The same thing is said of Joshua. Scripture says that “the people served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and al

Practice Faith

DAILY VITAMIN - Practice Faith “And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.” (Mark 11:22) Matthew 9:2 says “And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee”. But if you’d notice what Matthew did, you’ll realize that he did not spend much time on the detail of how the sick man came to Jesus. He didn’t write about how they broke through the roof as revealed in the other Gospels; yet he tells us something that they all seemed to agree upon- which was that Jesus saw their faith. This is because he understood that breaking the roof to get to Jesus wasn’t their act of faith, but the fact that they believed Him enough to come to Him. He was that brief because faith can be that brief. Jesus said “Come unto me, all ye that …are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28); and faith is practiced every time you respond in the aff
