Practice Loving

DAILY VITAMIN - Practice Loving “And now this word to all of you: You should be like one big family, full of sympathy toward each other, loving one another with tender hearts and humble minds.” (1 Peter 3:8 TLB) Jesus referred to love as the greatest commandment of all. In fact, He called it the only commandment- love for God and men (Matthew 22:37-40). Paul carried on from there and told us that it is the greatest virtue of all (1 Corinthians 13:13). However, even though now we can love without any complications by virtue of the indwelling presence of the Spirit of God in us- being His fruit, we still have to work at practicing it to make it truly effectual (1 John 4:8). So, unless we love those around us, we are in fact disproving our identity in God. And in our theme verse, Peter tells us how we can begin. He tells us to live happily with each other (that is, treating others good and kindly even when they don’t reciprocate because truly only a happy person can make other

You Are Spiritual; Act So

DAILY VITAMIN - You Are Spiritual; Act So “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit” (Galatians 5:25) It’s never pretension if it is inherent; and it’s not fake if it is who you are. 1 John 2:6 says “He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also to walk, even as he walked”. The believer is of all things first spiritual. He is born of the Spirit; and whatsoever is born of Spirit is spirit (John 3:6). And so it has been ingrained in his spirit nature to be like God. However, now that we are still housed in the flesh, the tendency to live and act otherwise is there. Recall Jesus said we are in the world, but not of the world. There we find our location (i.e. in the world) and also our position (i.e. not of the world). The term “not of the world” means spiritual; so in other words, Jesus was calling us spiritual beings. Being born again, we are no longer natural beings, and are definitely not meant to be carnal beings either; we have a lively and living spiri

Victorious By Submission

DAILY VITAMIN - Victorious By Submission “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7) The reason why many people are still tormented and frustrated by the devil in spite of their many fastings and prayers is because they try to fight him from their strength, and not God’s; and the scripture already told us that by strength alone shall no man prevail (1 Samuel 2:9). Also remember Zechariah 4:6; it’s not in our might to overcome these things, but in His grace that we have overcome. And here is that grace- that even though tribulation surrounds us, Jesus has overcome the devil and will manifest it every time in our lives through the Spirit of God (John 16:33). You see my friend, our fasting and praying doesn’t make God any stronger than the devil; God is already forever stronger than him. It doesn’t make Him any more powerful; He’s already all powerful. So, it doesn’t change God, it only changes us and help us submit to Him bett
