However, it is crucial to remember that our identity is not rooted in our situations but in who we are as individuals and, more importantly, in our relationship with God. (Matthew 10:8) As we begin, I want you to know that this will be the longest devotional you might ever read but it will be worth it, I promise. With that, let's go on. In our theme scripture, Jesus tells us to do four things. And here are four things I need you to know before we proceed. He'd never have told us to do these things if we couldn't or didn't have it in us to. This came right after He had given His disciples power. Note, this is figurative; at least to us because unlike Peter and co. who had to wait till Jesus died to receive His Holy Spirit, we received Him the day we got born again, and His power as He came upon us.
